I stand for public service. And that to me, means improving the quality of the lives of everyone in our community. I believe that everyone in our community should have access to services, education, jobs and be proud of where they live.
My goal is for our region to continue to grow and flourish economically, socially, and environmentally so that we can all enjoy living here.
What makes a great community - living in a safe environment where there are opportunities for healthy activities, recreation and social interaction.
As Mayor, I will do exactly what you expect me to do - and that is...to use our monetary funds and community assets productively and wisely for the greater good of all. Sound financial management is a responsibility I take very seriously and my priority is to maintain, replace and add additional assets to our base as our community grows.

• I will impartially represent the entire Mackay Sarina and Mirani area
• I will listen and understand the issues of the region and deliver outcomes
• I will provide support for community organisations and service clubs
• I will continue to build strong relationships within government departments and elected representatives
• I am committed to sound financial management
• I am committed to improving road and drainage construction and maintenance
• I will manage and enhance our natural resources to deliver a sustainable environment
• I will work to foster sustainable development within legislative and environmental requirements and in a timely manner
• I am committed to the maintenance of existing infrastructure including water, sewerage and waste
• I will plan for and deliver infrastructure to accommodate the future growth of the whole Mackay region
• I will foster and promote tourism and economic development opportunities
• I am committed to services for all areas of the community including arts and culture, sport, seniors, youth, and families
• I am committed to serve the people of the Mackay region for at least the next 4 years
• If elected I will continue to serve with Integrity, passion and purpose for the people
• I have the time and dedication needed to be Mayor.
Experience
I am best placed through my previous experience as Mayor to lead the important conversation that needs to occur with the state and federal government.
We must convince them that it is necessary to see this region as the powerhouse of Queensland and Australia.
The other levels of government need to make funding and grants available to help supply the necessary infrastructure that will enable our region to keep pace with the growth we are currently experiencing.
